Have you heard about Shakeology and wondered, just what is it and how can I benefit from it? Well you have come to the right place to learn and educate yourself.
I heard of Shakeology about 3 years ago. And I was one who thought, really how can a shake be that beneficial. So, I never tried it. It wasn't until this summer when a friend gave me a packet of Vanilla and Chocolate to try. I figured, what the heck, let's give it a try.
For a little background info, I had done Slim-Fast shakes years ago, and my husband would drink 1-2 Slim-Fast shakes a day, but never seemed to reap the benefits they always promoted. So he gave it a try and we were as good as sold. We did a bit more research and decided, why not give it a try. With a 30 Day Money Back, Bottom of the Bag Guarantee, we figured we couldn't go wrong.
First, what is Shakeology?
- Shakeology is a delicious, nutrient-dense super-food packed protein shake. It is made with all the good things we should be eating on a daily basis but don't. It contains a ton of rare ingredients that we don't get from our regular diets - such as camu-camu, maca root, acai & goji berries.
- Those within Beachbody consider it the Healthiest Meal of Your Day, packed with your Daily Dose of Dense Nutrition.
What's In It and How Does it Benefit Me?
- Proteins & Amino Acids (i.e. Whey, Pea, Chia, Flax, and many more). Helps build lean muscles, improve skin & hair, support optimal brain function, improve mood & reduce cravings.
- Antioxidants & Super-Fruits (i.e. Pomegranate, Camu-Camu, Goji Berry, Acai, and many more). Helps reduce oxidative damage from free radicals; promotes heart health, support joint health & keeps your brain healthy.
- Phytonutrients & Super-Greens (i.e. Kale, Spinach & more). Helps alkanize the body and promote detoxification for health & vitality.
- Adaptogen Herbs (i.e. Maca, Reishi Mushroom, Maitake Mushroom, & more). Helps protect the body from stress, supports the immune system & balance the endocrine system.
- Prebiotics & Probiotics (i.e Yacan Root). Helps promote regularity, support a balanced microflora environment in the intestinal tract and improve digestion.
- Digestive Enzymes (i.e. Cellulase). Helps the body break down foods and increase absorption of nutrients.
Why Should You Drink It?
- Honestly, the typical diet is not good at all. We usually don't eat enough fresh fruits and veggies. We usually grab what is quick, easy and overly processed. With replacing one meal a day with Shakeology you are feeding your body the good stuff it needs and craves.
What are the Benefits?
1. You will feel healther!
2. Your cravings will subside (leave those sweet cravings in the dust).
3. Your energy levels will increase.
4. Your digestion will improve.
5. Your immune system will be stronger (in my opinion).
So why am I a believer?
As a busy mom, I would find myself not eating properly throughout the day. My breakfast & lunch would consist of eating whatever was left from my kids' plates. I would rarely take time for me. I would grab food from a fast food restaurant if we were out and about, but would have an energy crash by mid-afternoon.
So when a fellow coach provided me with samples, I tried it and found that the shakes were MUCH, MUCH tastier and easier than snacking off the kids' plates or putting together a peanut butter & jelly sandwich with chips.
I tried it for the 30 days and noticed a considerable difference in my energy level and how I felt overall. Not only have I noticed a difference, I have noticed that as we have entered cold and flu season, I have been able to kick the typical colds much quicker. In the past when it would take me 2 weeks or more to kick a cold, I have been able to kick them in 7 days or less lately. Which as a busy mom & wife, that in itself is awesome!
Also, I noticed after drinking the shakes I didn't find myself over-filling my plate at meal time and eating as much as I did before drinking the shakes. Finally, for those that don't care for fruits and veggies this is a great way to get your fruits & veggies without actually eating them.
What support I can offer you when you drink Shakeology?
As your coach, I will be there for you every step of the way when you order your Shakeology for the first time and every time thereafter. If you try one flavor and want to change it up, I will be there to help you through it. If you are looking for some recipes or ways to make it, I will help you with finding the recipe(s) that is right for you.
As the coach that provided me with the packets to try, I will be here for you every step of the way.
What is the cost breakdown?
The cost for a 30 day supply breaks down to about $4/day. Now considering what the cost is to go through a drive thru or the worry and stress of figuring out what you are going to eat when you have little time to get out the door in the morning, this is a great easy meal. It is delivered to your door every month. How much easier can that be?
